While in Mark, Jesus tells his followers to remain quiet about so much, he openly declares his teachings about the cross to the crowds. Hiding in plain sight is God’s confrontation in Christ with the evils of this world, and an abiding witness to the promise of a new understanding, a new way, a new world.
