We provide information here, and greeters will meet you at the door to help you engage with our community. If you have questions or would like to meet a member or one of our leaders prior to coming on a Sunday, please .

Above all, we hold our doors open as a place of prayer for all. Come and look, taste and see. Come and join us for worship next Sunday! If you’d like to know more, please fill out our Contact Form to help us start getting to know you. You can also sign up there for our weekly email newsletter.

Why Church of Our Saviour?

Frequently Asked Questions

Directions & Parking
Directions to Church of Our Saviour are available here. Parking is curbside in the neighborhood, and you can enter through the main entrance on the corner of Old Mill Street and Lovell. An accessibility ramp is available to our main entrance.

What will I experience?
Our primary worship is on Sunday mornings.  If the Episcopal liturgy is new to you, we invite you to simply take it in, and feel free to ask questions about what you experience. There isn’t a wrong way to worship! During the service worshippers participate in prayers, responses, and singing as guided by our worship bulletin. We stand, kneel, and sit as we pray and listen. All are invited to come forward to receive communion or a blessing.

Following our 10 am service, we invite you to join us for coffee, food, and conversation. We gather in Fireside Room right after the service.

Often we have an Adult Education forum from 11:30-12:15 pm, where we explore more about what it means to lead a life of service and love in God. For more information on what is happening this Sunday, check the calendar to the right.

If you come for a visit and want to know more, we hope you’ll stay for a time after the service, so we have the opportunity to get acquainted. Our Greeters are available to help you find the bathroom or a child’s classroom or answer any question you may have.

What is available for children?
We have a vibrant children’s and youth community and are blessed by their presence. During the program year, Sunday school starts at 9:45am and continues until they join their families for communion. On the first Sunday of the month, children join in the 10:00 am service, which is specially tailored for their learning style and engagement.

If you have children and wish to know more before coming, please contact Gerry Caprio -- -- who is coordinating our program for young children, Godly Play. We are eager to welcome you and your children to our parish!

On Sunday morning greeters are available to point out where your children’s peers are (as well as bathrooms, changing tables, etc) or, if you prefer, your children may stay with you during the service.

What should I wear?
Come as you are! In our services you will see everything from sneakers and jeans to soccer uniforms, jackets and ties. The important thing is to join us in worship however you are most comfortable.

What if I have more questions?
If you are interested in speaking with the Rector (the head priest and pastor), Br. Richard Edward, please send him an email -- -- to set up an appointment.  He offers office hours, coffee shop conversations, and home visits and can meet at a time most convenient for you. He also offers information and counseling for baptism, marriage, and spiritual direction.

More about the Episcopal Church
If you are new to the Episcopal Church, click here for more information. As part of the larger Anglican Communion, we hold worship at the center of our common life. We value shared reflection on our experiences, drawing upon tradition, reason, and scripture, in our decision-making and in discerning where the Spirit is calling us to an ongoing conversion of life. We believe scripture and tradition are best interpreted in the context of community, and we place a high value on asking questions as part of a journey of faith.

How do I join?
Newcomers who wish to fully join Church of Our Saviour prepare for baptism if they haven’t yet been baptized, volunteer to be part of one program of the parish, attend worship regularly, and make a financial commitment to the ongoing life of the community. Learn more here.

Please let us know how we can best support you in your journey. We’re excited to welcome you into worship, fellowship, and service with us!
