Feast Day of Saint Mary the Virgin (observed)

Before print and vernacular Scriptures, Mary became the hero of folk religion. She still is venerated, especially by the marginalized because of her faith even in her sorrow. But we again need Mary as our patron and companion, appealing to her patience and caring love.
