Heal us Lord Jesus, in body, soul, mind and community

Second Sunday after Pentecost
June 11th, 2023

Today's scripture readings invite us to remember we are sinners and that we are loved (loved to death) by our gracious God. The stories of healing in Matthew's gospel also call us to reflect on each of us as holistic beings. God calls us to healing in our bodies, our minds, our emotions, our communities, and in our relationship with God as signs of the reign of God already in our midst. Forgiveness is spiritual healing, a healing all of us receive through prayer and confession, restoring us to God the great physician's intention for our wholeness.
