Author of The Christian Year, a poetic guide through the seasons of the Church. Tractarian, writing simple reflections of Scripture as a teaching tool for the common people. Member of the Oxford Movement, which reestablished the mystical understanding and practice of the Eucharistic rite. This simple country parson used his talents and faith to enrich the Anglian Communion in the mid nineteenth century, gifts which we still enjoy today.
