“Do you love me? Feed my sheep.” Thus was Peter called, bumbling Peter, to be the first pastor of the Church. Paul, who was chosen for his passion for religious doctrine, but not the one God wanted him to proclaim, called to be the first theologian of the church. They died together, but they also lived to bring Christ to the world, two very different shepherds feeding Jesus’ flock.
