In bitterly polarized times like ours, Isaiah and Jesus both speak to our fundamental calling as the people of God: to offer the salt that brings flavor and preserves relationship, time for the troubled souls around us, to a be a light in the darkness, and to be what Isaiah deems “repairers of the breach.”
