Prayer Requests & Memorial Notices
Please send prayers for healing or notices of those who have passed to the church office for inclusion in the following Sunday’s bulletin: office@cosmv.org.
Office Announcements
As a reminder, Rev. Julia is away until Saturday, June 13.
Rt. Rev. Brian Richard Seage will be doing Sunday Supply on Sunday, June 7.
Rev. Gerry Caprio will be available for pastoral care during this time. The church office will be closed on Friday, June 5, and will close early at noon on Thursday, June 11. Please note that St. Anne’s Circle will still meet as scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Friday in the Fireside Room.
Mill Valley Updates
Please remember that several community events and projects will be taking place in Mill Valley over the coming weeks.
The Dipsea Race will be held on Sunday, June 14, the same day as our Sunday services and BBQ Summer Sunday picnic. Traffic, road closures, and parking impacts are expected throughout the area, so please allow extra travel time and plan accordingly.
In addition, construction at Old Mill Elementary School, located across the street from the church, is scheduled to begin on June 13 and continue through August 15. During this time, increased construction activity may affect traffic flow and parking availability in the neighborhood.
Please be mindful of these events when planning your visit, and allow extra time to find parking. Thank you for your patience and flexibility.
Church Building Use and Scheduling
If you are interested in renting space at Church of Our Saviour or are planning a meeting or event at the parish, please contact the Office Administrator directly for scheduling and approval. All events and gatherings held at COS must be cleared through the church office in advance.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us care for our shared spaces!
Pride Month at Church of Our Saviour
At Church of Our Saviour, we celebrate Pride Month with joy, love, and gratitude for our LGBTQ+ community. We believe everyone is welcome here, always, and embraced fully in the life of this church.
Happy Pride Month from COS!
Rector Search Committee Update
I am happy to report that the search for our new priest is right on schedule!
Over the last two months, the search team has completed the Position Profile Template created by the Episcopal Church. This extensive document required us to reflect deeply on our past, our present, and who we want to be in the future. Following diocesan advice, we have been candid about our challenges, while highlighting all we have to offer a new leader.
The vestry has enthusiastically approved our draft. Once we incorporate a few suggestions, we will submit the profile to the diocese for review. In tandem with the launch of our new website, we will then publicly announce the search using all available avenues to reach potential candidates. Our target date to launch is June 15.
Please help us by spreading the word within your networks and reaching out to any priests you believe would be a good fit for our community.
