Gatherings

Celebrating in community with one another and our neighbors is an important part of our faith. All are welcome to join our community events, such as our music performances, summer picnics, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, caroling at the Mill Valley Depot during Advent, and others throughout the year. Invitations are shared on this site through our calendar as well as on our Instagram and Facebook pages with instructions on how to r.s.v.p.

COS holds several ongoing “meet over a meal” events on weeknights. A Tuesday evening group has been watching episodes of Netflix’s “The Chosen” with discussion and fellowship after. Another group has been meeting monthly as a book club, and recently completed “The Gospel of Mark: A Beginner’s Guide to the Good News” and “The Gospel of John: A Beginner’s Guide to The Way, The Truth, and The Life”, both by Amy Jill Levine. Coming soon is a group reading and discussing “Loving The Questions: An Exploration of the Nicene Creed” by Marianne H. Micks.

These groups are open to everyone. If you are interested in learning more about the intellectual life of COS, these groups are a great place to start! Check our calendar or contact the office for more information.
