What to Expect

COS is an inclusive community. All are welcome to celebrate God’s love. We are a seeking community that encourages questions and understanding. We celebrate through the beauty of our traditions and in the joy of gathering together.

Below are descriptions of our regular weekly Eucharistic services, i.e., where communion bread and wine are offered. Please also see our Calendar for more information about the other events at COS.

Our largest weekly Eucharistic service includes choral music and is followed by a casual reception with snacks and drinks. Children are often invited to participate in the service or a parallel activity led by our Youth Leaders. You will be greeted by one of our Ushers who will provide you with a bulletin, answer any questions, and offer assistance if needed. This service is livestreamed on YouTube.

Sunday 10:00 a.m.

Our cherished 8:00 a.m. group meets in a simplified service with communion. Rather than give a formal sermon, the Rector leads a discussion of the Gospel. It is a wonderful way to learn the Gospel more deeply, to ask questions, and to get to know our community.

Sunday 8:00 a.m.

We begin with a simple Eucharistic service in the church at 10:30 a.m. and then gather in the Leppo Room for discussion about the scripture and Episcopal traditions over tea and cookies. It concludes at noon.

Wednesday Eucharist & Bible Study 10:30 a.m.
