When we all contribute “just an hour” of our time, we can achieve so much. This Spring we are supporting The San Quentin Library Book Drive. Bring in your paperback books (in good condition, please) to the far Godly Play Room and we will get them to the folks at Friends of the San Quentin Prison Library.
- In-Demand Authors: James Patterson, Lee Child, Wahida Clark, Jim Butcher, Eric Jerome Dickey, K’wan, Terry Goodkind, Cassandra Clare, Pierce Brown, Steven Erikson, Ian Esslemont, and David Baldacci.
- In-Demand Materials: Fiction: Recently published and/or popular fantasy, African-American literature, mystery thriller, graphic novels, manga, and sci-fi.
- Non-Fiction: Recently published self-help, especially titles on anger management, impulse control, spousal relations, recovery, coping with depression/anxiety, leadership, and employment. Recently published DIY guides on vocational training (e.g., welding, electrician, plumbing, auto-repair).
- Other: Audiobooks on Compact Disc and Spanish Language titles.
Growing out of our Just An Hour program, we have become a regular dropoff center for the Marin Post Partum Center which supports families in need. We accept gently used, or new, supplies for new parents, infants, and toddlers that we will deliver to MPPC. Please contact the office for more information.
