The anthropologist Margaret Mead encourages us: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." As we transition to the New Year with the Season of Advent, let us hope that, like Rita Semel, with Christ, we too will be equipped to bring light into the world.
